Hello, my name is Kyle – I'm the founder of Banana Relish.

I started this blog to help people on a vegan diet, particularly those who are new to it – to demonstrate how easy it is to cook delicious recipes with little to no cooking skills; and also to educate on the benefits of adopting a plant-based diet.

In February 2016, I was rushed into hospital vomiting blood. I remember everything suddenly going white in A&E and then waking up with wires and tubes hanging from my body.

That night I lay in hospital wondering what the hell was going on, surrounded by other people who were clearly very sick and some who had little quality of life left.

My stomach lining had ripped after years of vomiting, acid reflux and IBS from a poor (omnivore) diet and too much stress, by the time I'd got to hospital I'd been bleeding internally for 3-4 days.

I promised myself that night I was going to change my life and become the healthiest and fittest version of myself. The next day I cut out coffee and caffeine, the day after that I became vegetarian and a few weeks later I went completely plant-based vegan.

Since then (well after a month of feeling absolutely awful) I've experienced no health or digestion problems *at all (after years of pain, acid reflux and vomiting).

I feel healthier, fitter, stronger and happier than I've ever felt in my entire life and intuitively, I know I'll never experience any disease or health issues again for the rest of my life.

I 100% believe that you become what you eat, and if you choose to put torture and death inside your body (along with processed junk and chemicals) it will break you down and eventually destroy you.
